2005 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck needed transmission overhaul. They diagnosed the problem, collect the needed parts, tested everything and had my truck back on the road in less than in a week and a half. Truck runs great and transmission included a warranty. JB was great at keeping me informed about the process during the rebuild and projected delivery date. Thanks for the great job to everyone at L&R Transmissions!

Amazing experience from start to finish. They answered the phone promptly and treated my situation with urgency right away, asking me to bring my car in as soon as possible. Within a day, they had diagnosed the issue—my transmission needed to be replaced. What really stood out was their communication. They took the time to clearly explain what was wrong, how they would fix it, the expected timeframe, and walked me through the warranty. I never felt rushed or pressured into anything—it was clear they genuinely wanted to help, not just make a sale. Even better, they completed the work sooner than expected, and the final bill matched the original estimate. No surprises. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing honest, reliable service.

I had L&R rebuild the transmission in my 2005 Ford Expedition, and a year later I am extremely glad that I made that decision. They said it would take about three weeks and finished it in 10 days, they quoted the price accurately from the very beginning. They did a great job keeping me updated during the process as well. As far as the quality of work all I know is I have had 0 issues or funny noises a or anything that would make me think it is any less than back to factory specs or better. I love the warranty even though it doesn’t appear I will need it. I am in sales so I drive ALOT and have complete confidence every time I leave my driveway. I would do it again with no question. If you are considering keeping your paid for vehicle on the road I highly recommend L&R.

My 1996 Toyota Tacoma had 338,000 miles on it and still had the original clutch which was due replacement. My regular mechanic didn’t do clutches and recommended I take it here for that work. I dropped it off and they completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. When I picked it up, the “Check engine” light was on so I took to my regular mechanic and he found the O2 sensor had not been connected. Strike “1. Two months later, I moved of Virginia and had to get a state vehicle inspection which failed because the backup lights were inoperative. They checked the bulbs and fuse and recommended I take it to someone to be repaired. I did some checking on line and because of the O2 sensor connection issue, I suspected the backup light switch on the transmission had not been connected after the clutch work. I got under the truck but couldn’t find the switch. However, I did find an exhaust hanger bracket was loose and laying on the cross member which explained the mysterious “rattle” I heard after the clutch was replaced. Strike “2. I took it to a shop in my new city, and they found the backup light connector had not been connected and was just crammed up on top of

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience than the one I received while my truck was at L&R. Everyone I came into contact with was very professional, JB was very nice and understanding, and the place was clean! Highly recommend if you need any transmission work. They told me about a 2 week turn around time and called me a week later and told me my truck was ready! Again, couldn’t ask for better!
